You put so much work into all you do, and your marketing and brand building efforts take up your time, and can drain your emotional and financial budgets. There must be ways to make it easier and help you stay organized and productive, right? Well, there are! So I want to share some tools for helping you build your author brand to lighten the load a bit.

Whether you need help streamlining your process, keeping your output consistent, or just need to save time by getting organized, there are a multitude of tools out there which are proven to be helpful in your brand building journey. Below I’ll go over some of them.

Tools That Help Streamline Your  Brand Building Efforts

I know how overwhelming the idea of marketing yourself can seem because I hear this from my clients all the time. It’s daunting to put yourself out there. Deciding which platforms you should be on to reach your audience can seem intimidating. And networking! Where do you start?

Luckily, there are some tools for helping you build your author brand that make it just a bit easier by streamlining the process.

Linktree

I personally love LinkTree. It’s a handy little tool in the form of a single link that can be added to your social platform bio allowing users to find your website, your book, all your other online platforms and more with one click.

This helps alleviate that fear that you aren’t visible in the right spaces ALL of the time. When someone finds you online, and wants to know more about you(or the other platforms you’re on) they can simply click that link in your bio and violá!

Here’s mine, so you can see what it looks like.

BkLNK

Speaking of handy, single links! BkLNK is a free tool for helping you build your author brand that creates a universal link to your book. Easy peasy. No more copy and pasting, no more deciding which link you should share so your followers, friends, and other fans can find your book. BkLNK allows you to have one link you can use anywhere so you can share it, or add it wherever you want. You can check it out here.

Marketing Tools for Helping You Build Your Author Brand that Save You Time

We all struggle to find the time to spend on our brand building and marketing efforts, or at least I know I do. That’s why it’s so wonderful that there are so many tools for building your author brand out there, and more coming along all the time.

Many of these simply help us by making a process easier and more efficient. This can mean a lot when you’re in for the long haul, and can keep you from getting burned out or lost in the process.

Publisher Rocket

Though Publisher Rocket may seem to have a high subscriber fee at $97 for a membership, this upfront cost covers a lifetime of use. If you want an upperhand in all things marketing on Amazon, from finding keywords and categories to ads, with support included, then Publisher Rocket is invaluable. I will add though, that it can take some effort to get the hang of it and use it to its full potential. But it’s worth it!

Blinq

Blinq is a digital business card in the form of a QR code that allows you to add not only your contact information and website but also your photo(so people remember you) links to your social media accounts and even your online payment platforms. Convenient, right?!

Gone are the days of forgetting to bring that stack of business cards with you when heading to conferences and festivals. And you don’t have to worry about remembering to print more! This will not only save you time but it also means no more missed networking opportunities or awkward interactions to get the right contact information out there!

Get Organized and Stay that Way with these Helpful Tools

Organization is key when you’re in the process of building your author brand and beyond. Getting organized and staying that way helps your efforts become more routine and consistent. These tools for helping you build your author brand will keep you up to date and on task when it comes to creating your content and keeping it organized.

Scrivener

I love Scrivener and many of my clients and other writers do as well. For good reason. Besides the fact that it can be difficult to find the time to create content or finish that novel, writers are notoriously prone to create when inspiration strikes.

With Scrivener you can integrate your lists, random ideas and even structured outlines. If you tend to be the type that finds yourself disorganized while writing your content, whether short or long, Scrivener can be a game changer for you.

CoSchedule

I’ve got to admit, I have yet to try CoSchedule but I can easily see its potential benefits. CoSchedule is a WordPress plugin that not only helps you stay on top of your content creation and keep it organized, it’s also a scheduling tool. Bonus! It’s a scheduling calendar for your blog posts, and content and work organizer all in one. When I find the time I think I’ll see how well it really works. And I’ll report back! Meanwhile, you can check it out and see what you think.

I hope these tools for helping you build your author brand will encourage you, inspire you, and make your life a little easier. Lord knows we can all use all the help we can get, right?

If you have any tips, experience with the tools I’ve listed and would like to share, please feel free to leave a comment. I always love hearing from you!
